Plan Your Journey

Planning your journey in advance allows you to select a more sustainable form of transport, or to organize shared transportation for yourself and any others you may be travelling with. Remember to always check the festival or concert website or ticketing page for any shared transport options, or to enquire if there is a “ride-share” option available.

See below for suggested transport options:
  • Public transportation
    • Many events are in easily accessible areas with good public transport links! Check to see what route you can take through public transportation.
  • Carpooling
    • Travel with your friends! Plan to travel together in one car rather than separately in 5 different cars. You could meet up at a central location and take one car from there. This will also make it easier to find parking at the venue!
    • Often an event may create a ‘ride-share’ page/noticeboard, where like-minded individuals can organise shared transport and minimise empty seats in private transport vehicles.
  • Shuttles
    • Many events now offer specific coach ‘shuttles’ from public transport hubs to get to the  event – sometimes even for free!
