Blue Action Requirements
The best option is to offer *less* seafood, only source responsible seafood and to make sure that there are plant-based options on the menu! Recommendations are detailed throughout this Blue Action Guide.
Mandatory Requirements:
Ensure all seafood at least meets the green “Best Choice” category in the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch list (avoid the “Avoid” and “Good Alternatives” (red or yellow) categories).
If a project is located outside the reach of the MBA Seafood Watch list, additional research will be conducted to ensure the local best practices are met. Look to local authorities and experts in the space to make species-specific and seasonal choices.
