Disposables
When reusables are not applicable, choose disposable options that are compatible with available waste management infrastructure.
Approved disposable materials
There are a growing number of aluminum bottle options that are nearly infinitely recyclable, with aluminum recycling infrastructure available globally.
Be sure to avoid plastic-lined aluminum products, particularly those with BPA lining which is very harmful to human health.

There is growing legislation specifically banning small-format single-use plastic bottles for shower amenities. In the United States, California and New York have both passed state-wide bills banning the use of single-use plastic bottles for amenities in lodging facilities that go into effect on January 1, 2023.
