Eliminate unnecessary packaging
Encourage food vendors and concessionnaires to reduce and eliminate packaging where possible.
Establish a protocol to give no unnecessary sauces or condiments. Only offer additional items upon request.
Serve condiments in bulk or work with food vendors and concessionnaires to serve sauces directly on food or in reusable packaging aligned with a reuse system if there is one in place at the event.
When reusables are not applicable, choose disposable options that are compatible with available waste management infrastructure.

Materials may include: paper, cardboard, agricultural waste, bamboo, bagasse, miscanthus (“silver grass”), and other fiber-based options.
